Understanding Perimenopause & Menopause: Your Options for Thriving
by Andrea Sheridan
Your life. Your answers. Let’s find them.
Life coaching isn’t someone telling you how to live. It’s a structured, honest conversation that helps you ask better questions, understand yourself more clearly, examine what you believe, notice the patterns you keep repeating — and turn all of that into action you can actually sustain.
Let’s talk!
Andrea Sheridan Certified Life Coach · Speaker & Educator · Author
So what does a life coach actually do?
Life rarely unfolds in a straight line. We move through growth, uncertainty, achievement, loss, transition and reinvention. Coaching gives you a supportive, thought-provoking space to pause, look honestly at where you are, explore where you want to be, and build practical steps towards getting there.
You remain the expert on your own life. My job is to bring the space, the questions, the structure, the perspective and the accountability that turn reflection into real change.
What coaching is
- A structured process, not a pep talk
- Forward-focused — where you go from here
- Honest questions that surface your own answers
- Goals, action and accountability between sessions
- Whole-person: work, health, relationships, identity, purpose
What coaching is not
- Not therapy or medical, psychological or financial advice
- Not me telling you how to live your life
- Not a promise of overnight transformation
- Not judgement — of where you are or how you got here
- Where appropriate, it works alongside your other professionals
“This is where I am. Where do I go from here?” — that is where coaching begins.
The seven areas we work through together
These aren’t seven boxes to tick in seven weeks. They are the threads that run through the coaching relationship — sometimes in order, often circling back, always at your pace.
Questioning
Change begins with better questions, not quicker answers. Coaching creates room to ask the ones you’ve been too busy, too tired or too afraid to ask.
Am I choosing this direction — or simply on a path I happened to find myself on?
Self-awareness
Understanding how you think, react, decide and avoid. Clarity about who you are right now is the ground everything else is built on.
What do I already know about myself that I keep overlooking?
Values & Beliefs
Examining what genuinely matters to you — and which inherited or limiting beliefs are quietly steering choices that no longer fit your life.
Whose definition of success am I actually living by?
Accountability
Insight becomes powerful when it is followed by action. We agree what you’ll do, and I hold the space — supportively and consistently — for you to do it.
What will I have done before we next speak?
Patterns
Recognising the habits, cycles and reactions that repeat across your work, relationships and health — so you can choose differently rather than repeat automatically.
Where have I been here before?
Boundaries
Building the confidence to decide, to say no, to communicate clearly and to take real ownership of your choices — without guilt doing the deciding for you.
What am I carrying that was never mine to carry?
Action & Growth
Turning intention into realistic goals and consistent progress — and adjusting those goals honestly when life changes, as it does.
What is the next purposeful step, and when do I take it?
A goal gives us direction. It should never become the sole measure of our worth or our progress.
How we work together
1. A first conversation
No obligation, no script. We talk about where you are, what prompted you to reach out, and whether coaching is the right fit for what you need right now.
2. Getting clear
We map the current picture honestly — the questions, the patterns, the values, the things quietly holding you back — and agree what you actually want this work to change.
3. Structured sessions
Regular, confidential sessions (in person or online) that combine reflection, goal setting, perspective and practical steps you carry into the weeks between.
4. Action & accountability
Small, realistic commitments — reviewed, adjusted and built on. Progress is measured by more than one number.
5. Reviewing and re-directing
Life changes. Goals are revisited honestly rather than abandoned quietly, so the plan keeps fitting the life you’re actually living.
